Wild ONE [Woodland] 1st Birthday
I have to say, this was one of my favorite days so far as a mom. I had been looking forward to planning this party for Kade for months and it was worth every ounce of thought and energy I put into it. It brought me so much joy to celebrate getting to love my little boy for a whole year with our immediate family [and a couple of friends]. And of course- watching him devour his cake, his first experience with sugar, was just priceless.
Living long distance from family, we decided we would travel back their direction [grateful that my in-laws offered up hosting the party in their home] and keep the party very small and intimate. This was for the best considering Kade doesn't always do well around big crowds of people, especially people he doesn't see very often. I was nervous about a lot of things going into the day... about making sure he fit a nap in before the party, about whether he would be freaked out by all the attention and be a hot mess of water works, about whether he would be interested in eating his cake or not, you name it. BUT! He was the most perfect little birthday boy there ever was. Great nap, no tears, and loved the cake. I was so proud of him!
We went with a Wild ONE/Woodland theme for the party with a teal and orange color scheme.
